Mathematics support for everyone.

The Mathematics Support Initiative (MSI) supports University of Toronto undergraduates students across the tri-campus community enrolled in math programs or courses. It is the first and only entity within the university, official or unofficial, to provide general support for third-year math courses and beyond.

About MSI

MSI was established with a clear goal in mind: offering accessible math support to UofT students while no one else was. Support for upper-year courses and specialist courses was (and still is) scarce, and we hope to change this. We communicate with individual instructors from over 20 courses to ensure that we are offering the best support that students need.

The initiative is student-led and organized as a recognized group on the University of Toronto. We acknowledge this land on which the University of Toronto operates. For thousands of years Tkaronto (Toronto) has been the traditional land of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.

At the University of Toronto, we strive to be an equitable and inclusive community, rich with diversity, protecting the human rights of all persons, and based upon understanding and mutual respect for the dignity and worth of every person.
